Project description
Fornale Engineering was commissioned to design the glued laminated timber structures for the Montezovo winery.
The main part of the building covers an area of approximately 800 sqm and houses the bottling line, an analysis laboratory, restrooms, and changing rooms.
The office area covers approximately 200 sqm and features a gable roof.
The main roof structure is constructed with cambered or “boomerang” glued laminated timber beams over a 20m span; the secondary beams are designed for biaxial bending over 5m spans.
The structure was dimensioned for 60-minute fire resistance (R60). An office and service block with CLT (cross-laminated timber) walls and floors was built inside the main building.
