Studiofornalè handled the structural design of the superstructure addition to a residential building in Valpolicella.
The project was executed using structural walls made of 10 cm XLAM wood panels and enabled the construction of a 105 sqm residential unit.
The roof slab features a dual-pitch design with double cross-laminated boarding (to ensure improved seismic performance) and 16 cm wood fiber thermal insulation to provide excellent thermal transmittance and acoustic insulation values.
The choice of this construction technique significantly accelerated the completion timeline for the superstructure, which can now be easily finished with external insulation and interior partition walls. The entire load-bearing and roofing structure was completed in less than 10 days
