The structural design assignment for an XLAM wood superstructure in the province of Verona has been completed. The superstructure, executed following verification of the entire construction, enabled the creation of 2 new bedrooms and a bathroom with access to a new balcony and the adjacent roof. The intervention was carried out using 3-layer XLAM panels, while the roof was constructed in glued laminated timber with 2 small trusses to ensure a non-thrusting roof structure. Particular care was taken with the taping of panels and membranes to ensure excellent airtightness performance.
