Wooden school campus in Peveragno: PFTE design

CLT school campus

The PFTE design for the construction of the new wooden school campus in the Municipality of Peveragno has been delivered.

This is a complex project that includes the construction of 4 buildings: kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, and a gymnasium serving both the schools and the community.

The project features a semi-underground surface connecting all 4 blocks.

This area is completely permeable to the external plaza thanks to generous glazing.

The underground section and the first floor slab will be constructed with reinforced concrete structures, while the structures of the upper levels will be in CLT and glulam timber.

To make the construction faster and more economical, a scaffoldless approach with prefabricated facades has been adopted.

The floor slabs are constructed with CLT panels, while the roof slabs are constructed with glulam timber beams and overlaid bracing boards.
