Fornale Engineering, in a temporary joint venture with Settanta7, has been awarded the contract for the design of the new school complex in Grezzana (VR).
Fornale Engineering will be responsible for the structural design of the reinforced concrete foundations and the CLT wood elevation and floor structures.
This is an ambitious project aiming to construct an NZEB building consisting of 21 classrooms, a small gym, laboratory classrooms, and teacher spaces.
The building will have a footprint of approximately 850 sqm for a total of about 2,550 sqm distributed over 3 floors, with an estimated construction cost of €4,100,000.
The defining architectural element of the building is the large cantilever of approximately 4.5 m on the second-floor facade above the glass walls of the gym.
