The CLT wood extension project for a residential building in the province of Verona has been completed.
The project involved the extension of approximately 30 square meters over two floors of the main residence with a seismic joint between the building sections.
CLT wood walls with a thickness of 95mm were used for both floors.
The floors were constructed with laminated timber beams for the roof and a composite wood-concrete floor on the first floor.
A precast slab floor with a ventilated cavity underneath the ground floor was also constructed.
Fornale Engineering was commissioned for the structural design of the new entrance canopy with an adjacent technical room and the renovation of the existing canopy at the rear of the building.
