XLAM Timber Villas in Verona

, , ,
Project description

Fornale Engineering handled the detailed structural design of two XLAM timber villas in Verona connected by a shared portico. Each villa is developed over 2 floors and has a total floor area of approximately 500 m² per level.

Vertical Structures and Floors

The villas were constructed with load-bearing XLAM timber walls with a thickness of 120 mm in 3 layers. Steel columns and beams were installed within the rooms to limit the design span of the floors.

Both the intermediate floors and roof slabs were designed in laminated timber. The intermediate floor, totaling approximately 200 m², is designed with 12×24 cm laminated timber beams.
