BUILDING DESCRIPTION
Studifornale.it was commissioned to design the structural engineering of the LVL Baubuche roof deck for a villa in the province of Verona.
This is a roof deck of approximately 340 m² arranged on 2 levels.
The roof decks will be completed with an insulation layer and subsequently extensive green roofing of the Sedum type.
STRUCTURAL SCHEME
The decks are constructed with LVL Baubuche timber beams measuring 8×32 cm.
The beams, in addition to having a design span exceeding 6 m, have a considerable live load due to the green roof.
A perimeter curb is provided, anchored to the existing reinforced concrete curb to which the beams themselves are anchored.
To close the beams, a 2 cm thick Baubuche decking was used.
