BUILDING DESCRIPTION
Studifornale.it handled the structural and construction design of this new CLT wood villa in the province of Bergamo.
The building has a footprint of approximately 200 sqm on the ground floor and an additional 100 sqm on the first floor.
It features large terraces and overhangs, resulting in a total floor slab area of 550 sqm.
It consists of 2 floors with a flat roof.

STRUCTURAL SCHEME
The building was designed with 120 mm thick seismic-resistant vertical CLT walls.
The floor and roof slabs are made of CLT panels.
The first floor slab covers 400 sqm and is made of 200 mm thick 7-layer CLT panels.
The roof slab covers 155 sqm and is made of 120 mm and 158 mm thick 5-layer CLT panels.
The first floor slab involves extensive use of steel profiles, as many of the walls are offset and therefore not seismic-resistant.
