PROJECT SUMMARY
The intervention initially involved the expansion of the existing building on both sides with reinforced concrete structures and foundations, and predalles slab floors.
The initial footprint was increased from approximately 120 sqm to the current 260 sqm.
The existing upper floor was completely demolished, and a CLT wood house was rebuilt over a large area of approximately 240 sqm.
The existing portion of the building underwent seismic retrofitting.
MATERIALS USED
100 mm CLT panels were used for the vertical walls, and glulam from Val di Fiemme was used for the roof structure.
The walls are externally insulated with 12 cm of high-density rock wool, topped with a 25 mm wood-concrete plaster base panel to improve the mechanical performance of the building envelope.
Internally, a 10 cm counter-wall was constructed using plasterboard and fiber-reinforced gypsum, insulated with fiberglass.
The roof slab was insulated with 20 cm of wood fiber (density 160 kg/m³), supplemented by a 2 cm wood fiber panel with a density of 240 kg/m³.
The walls and pillars were externally clad with “yellow” stone from the nearby Campofontana quarries, while local Prun stone was used for the window and door frames, balconies, and external pavements.

CURRENT STATUS
The works are now nearly complete; only the home automation system, the anti-intrusion system, and the completion of the bathrooms are pending.
We will soon provide the technical specifications for the systems of this agritourism farmhouse, which is powered exclusively by electricity and is practically off-grid thanks to the high performance of the opaque and transparent structures, the 6 kW photovoltaic system, and the wood-burning boiler.
Assignment: Executive design of CLT wood structures, development of CAD/CAM shop drawings
