Fornale Engineering was commissioned to design the glulam timber structures for the Montezovo winery.
The main building area covers approximately 800 sqm and houses the bottling line, an analysis laboratory, facilities, and changing rooms.
The office area covers approximately 200 sqm and features a dual-pitch roof.
The main roof deck is constructed with curved or “boomerang” glulam timber beams spanning 20m; the secondary beams are of the deviated bending type spanning 5m.
The structure was designed to provide 60-minute fire resistance, therefore R60.
Within the main building, an office-facilities section was constructed with CLT walls and floor.
