ARCAtour2019
Once again this year, ARCA, the quality and sustainability certification dedicated to timber buildings, is organizing the ARCAtour.
A tour of 9 stops across Italy aimed at promoting quality design of timber buildings.
ARCA originated as an evolution of the CasaSofie Project, the project that led to the construction in 2007 of the renowned 7-story timber building tested in Japan on a shake table.
The study of the behavior of timber buildings from both a structural and physical-technical perspective, as well as fire resistance, conducted in collaboration with CNR-IVALSA, led to the definition of the parameters that are now the cornerstone of the certification system.
Fornale Engineering first attended the courses organized in 2010 by CNR-IVALSA Casa-Sofie and subsequently completed the nearly 200-hour ARCA training program, becoming an expert designer in timber buildings in 2014.
This year, on the occasion of our 10th year of activity as an engineering firm specializing in the design of timber buildings, we have decided to join ARCA on the Tour as a technical sponsor.

We can prepare the hardware bill of materials and coordinate suppliers to ensure all necessary materials arrive on site.
Subsequent installation will be straightforward and will follow the assembly plan we will prepare for you.
