Studiofornalè handled the structural design for the vertical extension of a residential building in Marano.
The vertical extension was built using 10 cm CLT wood structural panels and allowed for the creation of a 117 sq m residential unit.
The structure consists of two blocks: one with a gabled roof and the other with a flat roof at a higher level. The resulting turret section will feature two internal balconies with large windows overlooking the living area.
Both roof structures will be constructed with double planking crossed at 45 degrees and 16 cm of wood fiber thermal insulation.
Although work began less than a week ago, the vertical structures are already completed, and the roofing is currently being finalized.
